Why didnt Shri Krishna simply used sudarshan chakra to kill Dushahan??

Why did Shri Krishna didn't use "sudarshan chakra" to kill "Dushashan" instead of helping "Draupadi"with clothes.

After watching series like mahabharata and ramayana...i ponder did this incidences actually take place or not. Many times I answer it as "mano to hua tha,nai mano to nai hua tha" ie. "if you believe it happened, then it happened or else it didnt"  now it depends only on our personal belief that it happened or not.
But then I come across news that footprints of "Pandavas" found in some place, etc. Here I would question I how can one claim that footprints are of "Pandavas" and not of of "Kuravas" ,even that is possible right if they existed? But never is there any proof of "Duryodhan or his siblings"  existence.
As we look closer to incidences in Mahabharat , People had supernatural powers of giving 'vardaan' and 'shap'.This may be true for reasons that today we have power of science and technology which does wonders.Maybe after many generations when people find books of present age may wonder if really mobiles, jet planes, etc existed or not? :)..For them it might be divine power we never know ;)
But then there also exists books like Harry Potter,Twilight, etc which are completly fictional not related to real life or person in any way.So when people after many generations from now may get access to this book and then there may arise the same confusion as of did the things mentioned in book actually took place or not.
So, one point of view is that "Mahabharat" may be pure fiction of Ved Vyas where in He used real places like "Kurukshetra, etc" with his imaginary characters. As J.K.Rowling has used "London street" and existing places with her imaginary characters to make Harry Potter.Where in people can do miracles with there wands.
All the characters are dead at the end. There is no one character whose generations could have been proof of Mahabharata. They were suppose to be dead as imagined by Writer.
